Ulsan's Night Market
Ulsan's new night market has started, making it overnight one of Ulsan's most fun dining out experiences. You will find Ulsan's new night market located in old downtown or Seongnamdong. The night market offers an unparalleled selection of food to be enjoyed. Sometimes the street food experience can be missing in Korea compared to other Asian countries . But with the night market they are bringing street food back with all its glory. Whether it's British style fish and chips or traditional Korean pancakes, this place has is it all and if there's one thing for sure you definitely wont be leaving hungry.
There is so much food on offer you will have difficulty deciding what you actually want to eat. Everything is very reasonably priced so you can afford to try a selection of food when you are there. The market has a really lively atmosphere, the kind that you want and expect when you go to a night market. Plenty of noise and color and lots of different stalls to spark your interest. The cold weather the narrow alleys and crowds create almost a coziness which you can't help falling in love with as you tuck into some warm comfort food.
If you are looking for a place to eat.that stands out in terms of the creativity of the food on offer, then look no further. The beef sushi stall seemed very popular, and admittedly looked delicious. Our groups favorite was the crab pasta which was cooked by blowtorch and served in an actual crab shell, if you like seafood, its definitely one to check out. For other more traditionally culinary delights, the mouthwatering traditional Korean doughnuts looked out of this world. It would take too long to try to sample it all in one night, but as the night market is here to stay you will have plenty of time to enjoy it.
How to get to the night market?
Luckily, getting to the night market is really easy. All you need to do is get to old downtown or Seongnamdong. Once your, on the main pedestrian street (the one covered by a roof), walk straight ahead until you come to the new core outlet (the big department store, across from Starbucks). Walk straight across the road and you will see the front entrance.
The night market is open from Tuesday to Sunday between 7:00pm and 1:00am.
